Come Celebrate With Us!

It’s been an incredible two decades of creativity, jewellery making and community - and we think that’s something worth celebrating!
On Friday the 15th of November, from 10am to 4pm, we’re opening up our Wellington workshop for a day full of fun, inspiration, and good company.
Drop in anytime during the day to see live jewellery demonstrations, hear from some of our amazing artists and tutors, and get a peek behind the scenes of our busy studio.
We’ll have snacks and drinks, raffle prizes, and plenty of opportunities to chat, connect and celebrate the wonderful community that makes Workspace what it is.
Workspace Wellington, 65 Abel Smith St, Te Aro

Workspace was founded by Annie Collins and Vaune Mason (pictured below enjoying a rare offline moment with wine and cheese) back in 2005 when they graduated from jewellery school and didn't know where to go next. What grew from that kakano | seed is the extraordinary rakau | tree that is Workspace Studios.

It's hard to believe it's been 20 years already!
But in that time we have built three thriving Studios, a catalogue of Online Courses, a growing Toolshop and a beautiful Gallery - Mason & Collins.
Each studio supports a vibrant community of residents and casual bench renters and we are hoping to receive funding for another residency program in 2026.
Our tikanga is always focused on the pathway for makers, how to grow from the kakano up and out.
We are proud to run inclusive, supportive and environmentally conscious workshops.
