Torch Fired Enamel Workshop

Service Description

This is a one day class focusing on beautiful glass enamels on copper and silver using the Torch Fired Glass Enamel technique. It is a wonderful way to add colour to your work! Early Bird Price $225 until 29 April. Full Price $248. Beginners to jewellery work can use pre-formed shapes to apply their enamels to so they can focus on creating an excellent result. They will be shown how to apply textures and small alterations to the pieces using either hammers or roll printed textures before prepping the metal for the glass enamel. Those with some metalwork experience can take on a more advanced piece. High quality silver findings are supplied for one to two projects and more are available to purchase if required. Sterling silver chains are also available if you want to complete the finish of a pendant. This workshop will not be focusing on soldered joints with enamels but will use simple loops and folded over bails for connections. This is to ensure you have enough time to complete and finish your work to a beautiful standard. Beginners and advanced students are welcome, class runs 10am - 4pm with a lunch break.

Cancellation Policy

Below are the Terms & Conditions for our classes. For information on access and parking info for both studios, please visit the FAQ page on our main site. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WORKSPACE CLASSES: We require all class fees to be paid in full before the start date of the class and any extra materials taken to be paid for at the last class. Masks are no longer required in our workshops, but if students would like to wear one they are most welcome. If students are unwell or required to self isolate we will do our best to find another time for them to take the class. We will not offer refunds.  Workspace will not offer make up classes for any reason other than Covid related illness. Please take note of this, these are unprecedented times and we are doing all we can to keep things flowing smoothly but sometimes flexibility is required.  Students must follow all health and safety guidelines and all safety instructions from the tutors at all times.  Workspace is under no obligation to change students to other classes, credit or refund for classes booked. Workspace reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class if circumstances require it, students will be refunded if this is the case.  By enrolling in our classes you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
