Service Description
Our 4-week Mixed Level Jewellery Block is the perfect way to build real skills, confidence, and creative momentum - whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to the bench with experience. If you’re new to jewellery making, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the essential foundations. Starting with copper or brass, you’ll learn how to confidently saw, file, shape, heat, and texture metal. From there, you’ll be introduced to soldering using a jeweller’s torch and silver solder, one of the most exciting (and empowering!) skills to master. Once you’ve got the basics under your belt, you can choose to move on to working in silver and begin creating your own finished pieces. A favourite first project is a simple textured ring band, an incredibly satisfying way to learn core techniques while making something beautiful and wearable. As your confidence grows, you’ll have the freedom to branch out into earrings, pendants, stacking rings, or other small jewellery designs. Each week builds on the last, giving you time to practice, refine, and really understand what you’re doing - rather than rushing through a single project. For returning or more advanced students, this block offers a welcoming and supportive studio environment to develop your own ideas. You’re encouraged to bring along project concepts and work at your own pace, with expert guidance on more advanced techniques and problem-solving along the way. It’s a great opportunity to challenge yourself while being part of a friendly, creative group. These classes are known for being relaxed, social, and deeply satisfying - there’s nothing quite like transforming raw metal into something polished and personal with your own hands. Our studio is fully equipped with all the tools you’ll need, and materials can be purchased as you go. Beginners typically spend around $50–$70 on metals over the duration of the block, depending on what they choose to make. This block is suitable for adults, teens, and confident younger makers aged 12+. Please note that anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver. Bookings are made through our online system, with payment available via credit card, Afterpay, or PayPal. If you’d prefer to arrange payment over time or need an alternative option, feel free to get in touch—we’re always happy to help make things work.
