Service Description
Lampworking bench hire has a high standard of safety management in our space. You must have completed at least 1 bead making class with us, and you may require further classes if our staff deem it necessary before being able to use our Lampwork Hire Service. Casual hire for lampworking covers assistance with the set up and packdown of your working area and equipment being tested and checked by our staff. Your Lampwork hire includes use of the gas torch for a 3 hour period. If you wish to use the gas torch for longer you will need to check with your studio tech and a small additional fee may be required for extra gas use. You can stay on at the workshop after your three hour torch time, to clean up your beads and do any other assembly or finishing work. Also included in your bench hire are: Bead release Use of the bead mandrels, tweezers and mashers, vermiculite and other basic bench equipment like diamond files and reamers. You will be using special lampworking torches and protective lampworking glasses. All tools and equipment will be checked in and out and signed off at the close of your bench hire. The cost is $60 for a Lampworking Hire . You are responsible to purchase and use your own glass and any dust masks you need. If you are able to bring your own glasses or torch, please let us know and we can organise a discount. If you are unsure about any of this information please email us for clarification.

Below are the Terms & Conditions for our classes. For information on access and parking info for both studios, please visit the FAQ page on our main site. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WORKSPACE CLASSES: We require all class fees to be paid in full before the start date of the class and any extra materials taken to be paid for at the last class. Masks are no longer required in our workshops, but if students would like to wear one they are most welcome. If students are unwell or required to self isolate we will do our best to find another time for them to take the class. We will not offer refunds. Workspace will not offer make up classes for any reason other than Covid related illness. Please take note of this, these are unprecedented times and we are doing all we can to keep things flowing smoothly but sometimes flexibility is required. Students must follow all health and safety guidelines and all safety instructions from the tutors at all times. Workspace is under no obligation to change students to other classes, credit or refund for classes booked. Workspace reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class if circumstances require it, students will be refunded if this is the case. By enrolling in our classes you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
