Water Cast Pendants Taster

Service Description
This is a super quick 3-hour session, and is great fun to do with family or friends. Water casting is a really hands-on low-tech casting method that results in surprising and fun little forms that can be turned into pendants with amazing textures and shapes. You will be guided through melting silver and pouring it into water to create little charms. Experiment with pouring at different heights to create different shapes. Choose one or a few of your favourites to have drilled and turn into simple pendants or earrings, or new charms for your bracelets! We will use hardened jump rings to attach your water-cast pieces to either colourful cord or you can choose sterling silver chains which you can purchase for extra. The technique will be demonstrated with important health and safety practices, then students will be guided to do at least a couple of casts, and should expect to have at least one successful item to clean up and finish in the class. A basic amount of metal allowance of a small amount of silver is included in your course costs, and if your projects go over that amount you can pay for the metal you use on the day via internet banking or cash. This course is open to complete beginners and advanced makers. Extra materials such as chains and findings are available to purchase. For health and safety reasons class participants must wear sturdy, closed toe shoes and have their hair tied back.

Cancellation Policy
Below are the Terms & Conditions for our classes. For information on access and parking info for both studios, please visit the FAQ page on our main site. General Terms and Conditions for Classes with Workspace Studios Ltd. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure their email address is correct, and they check their spam folders for confirmation and reminder emails. In the case of accidental incorrect bookings, we can shift students to the correct class if informed via email within 24 hours. For block classes aka regular classes, Workspace will not offer make up classes for any reason. Our tutors are very skilled at catching students up when they miss a class, and we can offer a free bench hire at the end of the block for students to finish their project*. In the case of cancellation - where you contact us via email more than 21 days before the start date of the class and let us know you need to cancel your booking, a refund of fees paid (or a credit to rebook) less the administration fee of $50 and any transaction fees (Credit card / Afterpay etc) will be made. For cancellations after the 21 day cut off date we will either: 1. Refund your class fee minus 50% and any transaction fees (Credit card / Afterpay / Paypal etc) , OR 2. Issue a credit to rebook minus 40%. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash and have a 6 month expiration after which they will not be honoured. Students are welcome to find a friend to take their place in a one off class (not a block class) if they cannot attend. Students must follow all health and safety guidelines and all safety instructions from the tutors at all times. We require all class fees to be paid in full before the start date of the class and any extra materials taken to be paid for at the last class. In case of insufficient bookings, or other events* Workspace Studios retains the right to cancel the class, and your class fees would be refunded to you in full. Our minimum number of bookings to ensure the class proceeds is 3. *Other events: extreme weather events, natural disasters, pandemic etc where studio locations are not safe to travel to for the time of the scheduled class. *Ts & Cs apply - not all projects are suitable for a bench hire.
