Service Description
Mini mosaics are really quick and simple to make - but can create a real design punch with colourful glass pieces and a set of three mosaics to make a “triptych” set. You can have the finished items as either: A triptych set on a backing board A set ready to hang on a wall as singles On a large sturdy jumpring ready to hang as a cute pendant set (or earrings). On a cord for an heirloom Christmas ornament. The class covers: Preparing your bases and materials Planning and choosing simple designs to make your mosaics really pop How to snip your glass down into tiny pieces if needed (most pieces are already cut for you) Working with adhesives, tips and tricks with tools. Finally we will cover grouting and finishing your mosaics - including mounting options and more. Some students may finish in time to grout your pieces - seeing these pieces are SO small, they are often dry enough for grouting. Or you can take your grout away to do at home, or leave with us to grout for you and collect in a few days. (There’s a small fee attached to that part.) This is a warm and friendly class with excellent support and learning for complete beginners and those who want to begin to work with hand-cut glass terrerae. All tools are supplied, though you are welcome to bring your own tools and glass if you have them. Your materials for the class projects are supplied as part of your course fee. Young makers aged 12 and up are welcome to join the class, as long as they are able to work safely with sharp glass and tools. Anyone under the age of 16 must attend with an enrolled parent or caregiver who is there to support them and participate alongside them.

Cancellation Policy
Below are the Terms & Conditions for our classes. For information on access and parking info for both studios, please visit the FAQ page on our main site. General Terms and Conditions for Classes with Workspace Studios Ltd. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure their email address is correct, and they check their spam folders for confirmation and reminder emails. In the case of accidental incorrect bookings, we can shift students to the correct class if informed via email within 24 hours. For block classes aka regular classes, Workspace will not offer make up classes for any reason. Our tutors are very skilled at catching students up when they miss a class, and we can offer a free bench hire at the end of the block for students to finish their project*. In the case of cancellation - where you contact us via email more than 21 days before the start date of the class and let us know you need to cancel your booking, a refund of fees paid (or a credit to rebook) less the administration fee of $50 and any transaction fees (Credit card / Afterpay etc) will be made. For cancellations after the 21 day cut off date we will either: 1. Refund your class fee minus 50% and any transaction fees (Credit card / Afterpay / Paypal etc) , OR 2. Issue a credit to rebook minus 40%. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash and have a 6 month expiration after which they will not be honoured. Students are welcome to find a friend to take their place in a one off class (not a block class) if they cannot attend. Students must follow all health and safety guidelines and all safety instructions from the tutors at all times. We require all class fees to be paid in full before the start date of the class and any extra materials taken to be paid for at the last class. In case of insufficient bookings, or other events* Workspace Studios retains the right to cancel the class, and your class fees would be refunded to you in full. Our minimum number of bookings to ensure the class proceeds is 3. *Other events: extreme weather events, natural disasters, pandemic etc where studio locations are not safe to travel to for the time of the scheduled class. *Ts & Cs apply - not all projects are suitable for a bench hire.
