Service Description
This block class allows students plenty of time to look closely at various casting techniques that can be done in the workshop. The class will cover sand casting, water casting, casting into wood and other mediums, and working with cast in place stones. Students will learn to use the equipment correctly and safely to melt silver and copper, how to create their own moulds to pour into, and how to finish up their pieces into wearable jewellery. The course fee includes 10 grams of silver, more metal is available to purchase in the studio. No experience required, all levels are welcome. Due to the nature of working with molten metal this class is suitable for those 16 years and up.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WORKSPACE CLASSES: We require all class fees to be paid in full before the start date of the class and any extra materials taken to be paid for at the last class. Workspace will not offer refunds or make up classes for any reason. Our classes take only between 6 and 10 students at a time and we cannot accomodate moving students between classes or offering extra classes. Please choose your class carefully. Students must follow all health and safety guidelines and all safety instructions from the tutors at all times. Workspace reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class if circumstances require it, students will be refunded if this is the case. By enrolling in our classes you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
