Short Workshops in Wellington

These classes are a perfect taster sesssion! Try jewellery making before commiting to a longer course, or simply enjoy a few hours of digital detox with a friend!

Most are suitable for complete beginners and all materials are supplied.

​Beginner's Weekend

Each student will complete a simple piece of jewellery  in just 2 mornings –

Saturday and Sunday 10am – 1pm.

Our friendly tutors are experts in helping students design and create an achievable

and beautiful piece in a limited time frame. Saturday is working in copper

or brass and learning some techniques such as sawing, shaping, texturing and soldering.

Overnight you can plan your design ready to step straight into silver on Sunday.​

Stacking Rings

Create your own ring stack in silver, copper or brass - or any combination of the three!

Learn to correctly measure your ring size, cut form and solder the metal

before finishing it up to wear. This is an excellent session for a gift class for friends.

​​​Silver Earrings Workshop

This fun short class is an excellent way to have a great experience and make

beautiful, wearable earrings! Learn to texture and shape with copper or brass then

create your earrings in silver. Choose from studs or earring hooks and leave with a

gorgeous quality pair of earrings (or two!) for you or for your friends.

Sandcasting Day

Join us for this wonderful intro to the ancient technique of sand casting - it is a great opportunity to make some gorgeous lasting jewellery gifts for yourself or your loved ones!

This is a full-day class and includes time for finishing your cast pieces.

Ring-Making Day

This exciting one-day class provides either a fun experience with a great result, or excellent grounding in basic jewellery techniques for those wanting to pick up the activity. The ring day is more technique focused and acheives a finer result than our Textured Ring Taster class.
